Intravenous Training & Education
Whether its one-to-one or groups based, people learn best when supported with the knowledge of key theories and the legal context along side plenty of time to practice the techniques and build up confidence in a friendly, supportive environment. Group exercises and discussions along with video and training aids such as dummies provides variety and interest throughout the sessions.
The most popular training is IV device insertion. Participants learn about the various types of catheters, their use, insertion, and maintenance. Course completion will require each participant to simulate a return demonstration of a PICC line or Midline insertion procedure. Training and certification will help increase skill level and confidence and ability to care for patients.
All levels of training are provided from Basic to Advanced Refresher and Ultrasound precepting and is always customised to fit the individual or group’s exact needs.
TESTIMONIAL Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology
I have pleasure writing a short testimonial for Michele Di Giacomo who I met when he delivered PICC line training for me and my team of PICC placers.
We found his lecture informative, professional and well prepared yet he was able to deliver the information in a way that helped us relax which ensured we easily achieved our outcomes and meet our individual needs.
Michele exhibited his wealth of knowledge in the way he shared many of his own experiences during different sections of the day and has continued to support us all both formally and informally which has been a great help.
I believe that Michele as a trainer can help anyone achieve positive results and progress professionally to become a competent proficient line placer.
